SOSFactory is looking for illustrators

Hello, SOSFactory is hiring!!

SOSFactory is a team of freelance artists. We have been working for small and big business like Funrise during the last 3 years. Due to the success of our work we cant accept more orders because of lack of time. So we are looking for mascot designers and possibly logo designers.

Style: Prefferably cartoon style, take a look to my gallery to see some examples. We are open to alternative styles.

Prices: 80-100US$ per mascot design, JUST LINEART. For special clients it would be more.

Deadline: 10-15 days per design.

Quality: Obviously the best, if you dont have a good portfolio of mascot designs, please dont waste your time and mine :)

Amount: We have around 20 orders per month, so if it works, as much as you can do.

Send me a email with the subject “Mascot designer available” to sergitosuanez@hotmail.com with 3-4 examples in low res, jpg format. Just your best cartoons.

No notes, no comments here, please.

- Dont have experience with cartoons.
- Have lot of experience but no examples.
- You are not serious, friendly and open to corrections.
- You cant meet deadlines.
- You get bored when you draw 3 characters.

  5. Sergio, your work is very professional and I think you should charge more, visit this website, have lot of info about freelancing and books to see what you can charge, I consider you work internationally and must charge more.

  6. Hello Mara,

    The first lesson I learnt “your work worth the price which you can sell it for”… I know my work is good, but I need who can pay it… anyway I earn 400% the salary of a graphic designer in my city, so I consider myself very well paid.

    3 years ago i was charging 15US$ per logo, my current price is around 300-500US$… what I mean is I think in the long term, I will raise the prices again when I have a strong clientele in this price range… and so on.

    Every time somebody tell me this (too frecuent than I would like) I say the same… redirect those clients to me… its obvious everybody want to charge more… I really think that books are useless, anybody but you can set a price.

    This is Sachin from India,working as an Animation director in a company, and I do freelance work too ,saw yourwork its really cool, can we work together? I’v never designed any mascot for any international client but i think i can do it. i m good in penciling i can send u some samples if interested.

It’s weird being at that place where you need to hire people to do the work because there are just too many orders – but hiring people comes with a whole lot of other risks and financial issues. So, to ensure that you can afford the people, you need to have enough business coming in but you can’t get that business in until you hire more people so you can actually do what’s needed for the business. It’s a weird place to be in and a very important point of growth for any business.

  13. Yes it is, but Im not hiring anybody its freelance work.

    Anyway is really hard finding good and reliable artists, much more locally… so Im increasing the prices instead the quantity of work done.
